Its my birthday on Wednesday – my 30th to be precise!!

Friday: I really enjoyed visiting the High Line (in the meatpacking district) when I was last in NYC. They have done such a fabulous job of turning the highline into a gorgeous elevated public park. I know my dad would love it (he is a landscape gardner) but I don’t know it he will ever get to NYC, so I bought him a book all about designing the high line.
Thursday: I think this looks pretty cool – the real Big Apple MacBook vinyl decal by Bengal Works…

Tuesday: Sibella Court’s The Stylist’s Guide to NYC looks absolutely gorgeous! Monday: Design Hype’s NYC Metro Cuff is a matte metal bracelet embossed with the subway lines, numbers and streets of Manhattan. I think it looks very cool and will certainly help me navigate the subway when I eventually get back there!

My name is Lisa – I created this blog in September 2010 to share gift and travel ideas (and general life tidbits). I have so many ideas, it seems such a waste not to share! This blog has also very quickly become my creative outlet – a new way I am living ‘outside of my box’ – living beyond my usual, my expected, my normal.
Up until 2011 I was a typical, almost 30 year old, living in Sydney working 9-5. But then my partner and I had an idea for a start up and we decided to kick off our 9-5 shoes, give our big idea a go and house sit around Australia. You can follow our start up journey over on the Open Shed blog
