In my final post of 2010 I wrote about all the new things I had embraced and my goals for 2011. One goal I didn’t mention because we were still in the “will we do it this year / won’t we” stage, was our dream to start our own business.

But I can now announce that as of mid-March we will be working full time on developing our business idea. D and I have both just given notice at work and it now feels very very REAL!

2011 is the year I’m going to get completely outside of my box!

So what’s the plan? Well the second week of March will be spent moving out of our apartment in Surry Hills. To reduce our daily expenditure (and to also make it an adventure!) we plan to spend some time with D’s parents in Hervey Bay and also see a bit of Australia by house sitting our way around it. The beauty of an online business – we will just need an internet connection and our laptops!

I’ll fill you in on the details of our planned business over the next few weeks – its not exactly a secret- its more I would like to perfect my elevator pitch (see I’m already working the lingo!) before I write about it here.
